Well, at least now I know why most of my family gives me *the look* when I start spouting trivia at the dinner table.

Just a little note to let everyone know that I am still breathing. I know I've been promising fic since I posted my first entry here on IJ, and I swear that I am working on it, but I am reluctant to post anything at the moment due to some RL issues. Hopefully, those will resolve themselves in the next couple days, and I will post what I have completed fic-wise. I just beg y'all to be patient with me. Thankies to those who have stayed with me through all of this.

As you can tell, the bunnies have currently overrun my home, and until I get those little buggers under control (again), I'm occupying myself with a few small housekeeping things. Hence the new layout.

Kay. I have almost completed the promised fics (provided this lung-monster of a cold takes a flying something), and I've also fallen head-first into another fandom: Deathnote. Yes, the sometimes zany escapades of our favorite kira Light, the sleep-deprived (but always sugar-high) teen detective L, and the whole crew. Hmmm, guess I'll have to buy a few more bunny cages.....

Despite the evidence to the contrary, I am still out here. I'm still plugging away on my fics, although RL is slamming me. I have exams coming up, and I'm taking extra hours at work, and then I have a big "family" trip to plan for. So, yeah, this time it's not just me being lazy.

Well, it seems that the Snarry bunny I was working with has decided to hop away into a corner and munch my sister's chocolate stash (boo for her). Anyway, I decided to tangle one of my other bunnies, and it appears that I am indeed rusty at wrangling the little buggers. Plus I found an old prompt from a fic fest I joined months ago (and never completed). It was through one of my yahoogroups, so if posting my now semi-completed fic (it's gonna be a little longer than I thought) is against group rules and you're a member or moderator, please let me know. I think the actual group went defunct a while back.

Just thought I'd drop a little note or three to let everyone know what's up. I had the most delicious idea for a fic pop into my head today (well, for two different fics in two different fandoms, one of which I've never written anything in before). So hopefully soon, I'll have a little something more to post than any more rants about how lj handles things (and treats their users). Although anyone who knows me knows I normally need a swift kick in the pants before I get anything done. I'm hoping to finish my Snarry fic sometime this week, and my Yuuri/Conrad shortly there after. And then we'll see about the jealous Yuuri/Wolfram bunny currently burning holes in my carpet.

So, as you may have guessed, this is the second of my shiny new journals opened since LJ chose to have their dramatic attitude adjustment and total meltdown. Any future content I post to the net will be posted to this journal and the one on GJ, and only linked to LJ since they can't exactly delete me for linking to content off their site.
